Alternative RIAA scheme

Comments

I would rather see a scenario where they charged a reasonable fee for the content in an effort to reduce piracy. Although, to my dismay, the Internet community has proven to me that no matter how little the cost of the content is, they will go to great lengths to crack the DRM just because.....they can.

I saw a story on digg a month or so ago where people were all excited that the AllofMP3 music for the masses (subscription service model) DRM had been cracked and they could get music for free. Are you kidding me?!?!?!?! Pay the fricken 10 cents a track and buy the damn mp3. I realize that the AllofMP3 model is not legal but my point is that even if the RIAA were to charge reasonable prices, it wouldn't matter.

I hate DRM, and not because I steal music. Because I want to do whatever the hell I want to do with my music once I buy it.
